This tool is indispensable for any work needed on the M1 Carbine rear sight and makes installation quick, easy, and much safer for your receiver. Attempting to remove the rear sight without this tool will likely break the receiver dovetail when using a hammer and punch, and since there’s no way to repair the dovetail, the receiver is ruined.
